Is MOXI safe across different skin tones?

A 2023 prospective study of the non-ablative 1927 nanometer fractional laser in Fitzpatrick skin types II through IV, including a majority of type III skin, reported mild, self-limited side effects and no cases of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. What to expect: the MOXI experience and downtime

Here is what an actual MOXI day and the days after tend to look like.

Before. We apply a numbing cream so you are comfortable. Most people describe the treatment itself as warm with a mild prickling sensation, not painful.

The treatment. A single face session is quick, usually around 20 to 30 minutes of laser time once you are numbed.

Right after. Your skin will look flushed, a bit like a sunburn, and feel warm. That settles over the first several hours.
