I came into medicine through a passion for science, but I found my passion for aesthetics along the way. My educational path began at the University of South Florida, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Biomedical Physics, followed by a second bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. I then completed my Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Butler University in Indiana.

While pursuing my career in medicine, I also worked as a freelance makeup artist. What began as a creative outlet gave me a deeper appreciation for facial anatomy, symmetry, proportion, and the profound impact appearance can have on confidence. It complemented my medical training, but my goal was always to practice medicine.

My clinical training was intentionally broad. I completed clinical rotations in surgery, dermatology, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, psychiatry, and other core medical specialties. That diverse foundation prepared me to recognize and manage both routine and unexpected medical situations with confidence.

After graduation, I spent more than ten years practicing in emergency medicine, family medicine, and urgent care. Those years taught me to think critically under pressure, recognize subtle findings before they became major problems, and place patient safety above everything else. They also reinforced an important lesson: excellent outcomes come from careful decision-making, sound clinical judgment, and attention to detail.

That background is also why same-day urgent care visits are part of what we offer at Olympia Aesthetics.

What ultimately drew me back to aesthetics was realizing that those same principles apply here. Aesthetic medicine may appear cosmetic from the outside, but when practiced well, it is highly technical medicine. It requires an in-depth understanding of anatomy, tissue physiology, wound healing, and risk management. Every treatment is a balance between science and artistry.

The wrong dose of a neuromodulator, an imprecise filler placement, or an overly aggressive laser treatment can produce unnatural results or prolong recovery. The right decisions are often invisible. Patients simply look refreshed, healthy, and like the best version of themselves. That is the standard I strive for with every treatment, combining the precision of comprehensive medical training with the artistic eye I developed through years of studying the face.
