Botox is the original and the most predictable choice for most patients and first-timers, with onset in three to five days, peak at about two weeks, and duration of three to four months. Xeomin has fewer surface proteins, which makes it a good option for patients sensitive to additives or who have built resistance to Botox, and its onset, peak, and duration track closely with Botox. Daxxify tends to come on faster, in two to three days, and lasts longer, around five to six months for most patients. Botox and Xeomin are both $12 per unit here and Daxxify is $14. Yes. Masseter Botox is used for both facial slimming and symptom relief in patients with bruxism or mild TMJ pain, and treatment usually requires 20 to 30 units per side. It's a different protocol from upper-face Botox and gets planned individually rather than tacked onto a standard forehead and glabella treatment. At the consult we look at how hard you clench, the bulk of the muscle on each side, and whether your goal is comfort, contour, or both.
