VI Peel in Clearwater.
Medium-depth chemical peel for clarity, tone, melasma, and acne scarring. Five days of light shedding. Visible glow within a week. About ten minutes north of Clearwater on US-19.
Chemical peels lost their reputation in the 90s because dermatologists used aggressive acids that left patients red-faced for weeks. The VI Peel family was designed differently — a blend of TCA, salicylic acid, retinoic acid, and phenol calibrated for medium-depth resurfacing with minimal downtime. The peel goes deep enough to reach the cells responsible for melasma, scarring, and tone irregularity, but heals fast enough that most patients are back to normal within a week.
We use the full VI Peel family — Original, Precision Plus (for pigmentation), Purify (for acne), and Advanced (for aging skin). The right formulation depends on what we’re treating.
“VI Peels are the most reliable in-office tool we have for melasma. They reach the depth needed without the post-inflammatory pigmentation risk of laser.”— Olympia Morris, PA-C
The four most common reasons patients ask.
Melasma (chloasma)
VI Peel Precision Plus is one of our most effective treatments for melasma. It penetrates deep enough to address the melanocyte activity without the post-laser pigmentation risk.
Active acne and acne scars
VI Peel Purify treats active acne and helps fade post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Often the first step in a long-term acne plan.
Dull, uneven tone
VI Peel Original gives a reliable glow and brighter, smoother tone. The most-booked single peel for events, weddings, and pre-vacation prep.
Fine lines and aging
VI Peel Advanced adds peptides and growth factors targeted at fine lines and surface aging.
Thirty minutes in office, five days at home.
Consultation + cleanse (5 min)
We assess your skin, choose the right peel formulation, and cleanse and prep the treatment area.
Peel application (10–15 min)
The peel is applied in two layers. Most patients feel mild tingling or burning that subsides quickly. The skin will look frosted or slightly red after.
Take-home kit + 5-day shedding
You go home with the take-home kit (a series of post-peel products) and a clear schedule. Day 1: tightness. Day 2–3: light peeling begins. Day 4–5: most peeling complete. Day 7: clear, glowing skin.
Series for deeper treatment
For melasma or significant pigmentation, we typically recommend a series of 3 peels spaced 4 weeks apart.
Single peel or full series.
A single VI Peel works for most patients booking for clarity, tone, or a pre-event glow. For melasma or significant pigmentation, a series of three is the standard protocol.
Single VI Peel
$300/ peel
Choose from Original, Precision Plus (pigmentation), Purify (acne), or Advanced (aging). Includes the take-home kit.
Series of three
$800/ series
Three peels spaced 4 weeks apart. Saves $100 over single bookings. Standard for melasma and acne scarring.
Body peel (chest/back)
$400/ peel
For the chest or back. Common for body acne, scarring, or sun damage.

More questions we get asked
What is a VI Peel?
VI Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel from Vitality Institute. It uses a blend of acids (TCA, salicylic, retinoic, phenol, vitamin C) to resurface the skin in a controlled, evidence-based way. Several formulations exist for different concerns.
Why is VI Peel the only chemical peel offered?
VI Peel has the strongest body of clinical use, consistent outcomes, and a defined 7-day at-home post-peel kit. Olympia chose to offer one chemical peel system and do it well rather than carry multiple peel brands that produce inconsistent results.
What does VI Peel treat?
Sun damage, melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, dull tone, fine lines, acne, and rough texture. There are formulations for sensitive skin, oily skin, pigmented skin, and aging skin.
How long is downtime?
Visible peeling usually starts day 3 and runs through day 5 to 7. The peel itself is applied in 30 minutes. Most patients can return to normal activity but should plan low-visibility events for that week.
Does it hurt?
Most patients feel a strong tingling or warm sting for 5-10 minutes during application. No numbing is required. Discomfort fades quickly once the peel is applied.
How many sessions do I need?
A series of three peels four to six weeks apart is typical for pigment and tone goals. Many patients then maintain quarterly. Single-peel use for events or seasonal resets is common.
