What is Sciton MOXI?

MOXI is a non-ablative fractional laser. In plain terms, it works just beneath the surface of the skin without removing the top layer, so it can refresh tone and texture while keeping downtime to a day or two. It's the treatment people often start with, and the one they come back to for upkeep.

A lot of practices call MOXI a maintenance laser, which sells it short. Used well it's preventative and strategic: gentle enough for the earliest changes, customizable enough to layer into a longer plan. It runs on the same Sciton platform as HALO and TRIBRID, so your provider can keep it light or build it into something more.

How MOXI works

MOXI keeps things gentle on purpose. Three design choices are why it can brighten skin without the recovery of deeper resurfacing.

1927 nm
The MOXI wavelength

Targets water in the skin to lift away dull, sun-damaged cells and even out pigment. The same wavelength used inside TRIBRID, here on its own and kept light.

Non-ablative
Works beneath the surface

Heats the deeper layers to prompt renewal while leaving the surface intact, which is what keeps downtime to about a day or two.

Fractional
Treats in microscopic zones

Only a fraction of the skin is treated at a time, leaving healthy tissue in between to speed healing and keep the session comfortable.

MOXI is the laser we reach for when the goal is consistent, natural glow. Not a dramatic reset, just skin that quietly keeps getting better.

What MOXI treats best

MOXI is built for early and ongoing concerns, and for keeping bigger treatments looking their best. It's commonly used for:

  • Early sun damageThe first freckling, brown spots and uneven pigment from Florida sun, addressed before they settle in.
  • Dull, tired toneSkin that has lost its brightness and reflects light unevenly, lifted to a fresher glow.
  • Uneven textureMild roughness and the beginnings of textural change, smoothed gradually over a series.
  • Enlarged-looking poresSurface refinement that makes pores look smaller and skin look more even.
  • Prevention & upkeepA strategic way to slow visible aging, and to maintain results between HALO or TRIBRID sessions.
  • First-time laser nervesA comfortable, low-commitment introduction for anyone new to laser skin care.

MOXI is most often performed on the face, neck, décolleté, chest and hands.
